Lord, Teach Me to Lead From Rest
I Release the Rush and Embrace the Rhythm of Grace
Heavenly Father,
I bring You my weariness.
I bring You the tight schedules, the long lists, and the invisible weight I carry behind the scenes.
But more than anything, I bring You my desire to breathe again.
You never called me to lead from burnout, to love from depletion, or to serve from survival.
You called me to abide. To dwell. To rest.
Your Word says in Matthew 11:28-29,
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest... you will find rest for your souls.”
So here I am, God—ready to trade the hustle for holiness.
Ready to release the need to prove, and return to the posture of peace.
Teach me how to lead like Jesus—unshaken, unrushed, rooted in communion with You.
Teach me to pause without guilt.
To Sabbath without apology.
To build without burnout.
When the world pushes me to perform, whisper back Your invitation to simply be.
Be still. Be present. Be Yours.
Refill me where I’ve been drained.
Reset me where I’ve been overwhelmed.
And remind me: I am enough, even when I am still.
Let my leadership flow from rest—because rest is warfare.
And when I rest in You, I lead from victory.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
