There are days when your body speaks before your thoughts ever form a sentence.
A tight chest tells you your boundaries slipped again.
A craving tells you your emotions got ahead of your wisdom.
A wave of fatigue tells you you’ve been powering through instead of powering down.
The body never lies.
It always signals what the mind is trying to outrun.
And for so many women “in the middle,” the struggle isn’t that we don’t know what to do — it’s that we keep ignoring the whisper until it turns into a shout. We push, we power through, we carry the weight, and then wonder why we collapse at the finish line.
Today’s post is a reminder that your mind and body are not fighting each other. They’re trying to get your attention so you can live healed, not hurried.
To bring that back to center, I created a simple devotion — a recipe you can return to whenever your inner world feels loud or scattered.

Serves: Your mind, your body, and the part of you that needs rest more than perfection.
Ingredients:
1 honest truth about how you feel
2 long breaths to clear the noise
1 cup of silence
A steady pour of living water
A generous handful of grace
A warm place to unload what you've been carrying
Directions:
1. Start by naming what you feel without judgment.
2. Let your breathing slow down until your body stops bracing for impact.
3. Sit in silence long enough for your mind to unclench.
4. Drink water — your brain can’t regulate without it.
5. Add grace wherever guilt tries to settle.
6. Rest. Even if it’s five minutes. Especially if it’s five minutes.
