Dear Sisterfriend,
Every day, we are faced with decisions—some small, others life-changing. How we make these decisions can shape the course of our lives. When we allow our faith to guide us, we make choices that are aligned with God’s will and that bring us peace, even in uncertainty.
Faith is trusting in God’s wisdom and guidance, even when we don’t have all the answers.
Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
When we bring our decisions before God in prayer, we invite His divine insight into our lives, ensuring that our choices reflect His purpose for us.
To incorporate faith into your decision-making, start by seeking God’s guidance through prayer and meditation. Ask Him to reveal His will and to give you the wisdom to make the right choices. Spend time in His Word, allowing the Scriptures to speak to your situation and provide clarity.
It’s also important to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes, the answer may not come as a clear directive, but as a gentle nudge or a sense of peace (or discomfort) about a particular path. Trust these inner promptings as God’s way of guiding you.
Consider seeking wise counsel from trusted mentors, friends, or spiritual leaders who share your faith.
Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed."
Others can provide valuable perspectives and help you see things from a different angle.
Finally, be patient and trust in God’s timing. Sometimes, the right decision may not be immediately clear, and it’s okay to wait for further guidance.
Isaiah 40:31 says, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Trust that God’s timing is perfect, and that He will lead you in the right direction.
As you make decisions, let your faith be the foundation that guides you, and trust that God will direct your steps.
With trust and faith,
Grace
