Dear Sister,
You don’t owe anyone consistency with a past version of yourself that no longer reflects who you are becoming. Let me say that again—you’re allowed to change.
You’re allowed to no longer tolerate what you once accepted. You’re allowed to unlearn what once felt normal. You’re allowed to walk away from people, places, and patterns that once felt like home—but were actually keeping you from healing.
It’s not betrayal. It’s not arrogance. It’s not a phase. It’s growth.
God didn’t create you to stay stuck in cycles or to stay loyal to versions of yourself that were only meant to carry you through survival seasons. You are healing now. You are choosing peace now. You are giving yourself permission to rest, to speak, to cry, to say no, to say yes—for you.
It takes courage to evolve. To no longer perform for approval. To no longer fake connection. To no longer carry guilt for prioritizing your own well-being. But hear this clearly—you’re not wrong for becoming who God called you to be.
The people who love the old version of you may not understand this one. And that’s okay. You don’t have to force them to. You don’t have to convince anyone of your transformation. God sees it. God ordained it.
This season of your life is about alignment, not applause. Authenticity, not approval. And freedom, not fear. You were never meant to live in fragments. You were meant to live in fullness.
📖 Isaiah 43:18–19 – “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing.”
So rise, grow, evolve—unapologetically.
With freedom and fire,
Dr. Anita
